A&F Challenge
Greetings from A&F Challenge. Every year, Abercrombie & Fitch hosts a local festival benefiting a charity of their choice. This year, they worked with the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a global network of camps and programs for kids with serious illnesses and their families. The annual event is held at the A&F Home Office in Columbus, OH and they invited us to join in 2017!
They reached out to us after seeing our mural at Firefly Music Festival. We immediately realized that both of us already had ties to Abercrombie as a company. Victor used to manage their email marketing back at his old corporate job and Lisa used to work as a brand representative in high school. Victor even had a work trip and came to this same event a while back. It’s funny how everything goes full circle, and we were honored to be part of such a positive project giving back to a good cause.
We arrived at their home office in our RV the team gave us a tour of their campus. It was modeled after a college campus due to the collegiate aesthetic of their brand. They built our canvas in a barn structure, and we were able to paint in there in case of any bad weather. We quickly got setup and got to work. Their campus is spread out across many acres of land, so we were able to camp there at their offices for 3 days. One advantage of painting at the A&F home office was using their gym, showers and wonderful café during the day. Free bikes and scooters were there for people to get from building to building. We could imagine their employees enjoyed working in such a serene and calming environment.
Coming from corporate office & studio jobs, we never thought that we would be sleeping in our RV at an office during a job. The Greetings Tour has opened up so many interesting experiences for us. We don’t take any of it for granted and are grateful for all that we have learned over the years.
We both had a great time at the A&F event where there was fun really for everyone. They brought in several bands, tons of amazing food, DIY arts and crafts, hot air balloon rides, zip lining...you name it! They placed our mural right next to the main stage where attendees could snap a selfie or a big group photo.
