Firefly Music Festival
Greetings from Firefly Music Festival. Firefly is a music & arts festival hosted in Dover, Delaware that’s celebrating its 5th year in 2016. They offer 4 nights of awesome shows spread throughout the Woodlands where you can listen to music, eat great food and rent tents for overnight camping. There's even shower facilities to keep the kids fresh!
We camped at the site two nights the week before the party started to paint our postcard mural just left of the main stage. The event & build staff at Firefly were so great to us. Thank you, Christiane for the amazing hospitality and inviting us to bring even more life to your party. If you are attending, our advice is to take sunscreen and bug spray!
It’s pretty rare we would get to drive onto the popular festival grounds in our RV, so we took advantage of the photo op. We also wanted to give the piece a neon glow to pay tribute to actual fireflies. The photos don’t do the piece justice but if you saw it in person, it really popped! The secret to using neon paint is to layer a white primer underneath.
We have a goal of painting a Greetings Tour mural in every state. However, we’re not sure if we would really count this one as it’s for an event and it only pops up once a year during the festival. While we were in the area, we explored several options of nearby cities for a permanent public art mural in Delaware.

“We worked with Greetings Tour (Victor & Lisa) to paint a postcard mural for Firefly Music Festival back in 2016. Although this was the first street art piece that we had ever commissioned, its success sparked a much larger step towards art as a central component to our event moving forward. Victor and Lisa were incredible to work with – their professionalism and creativity matched with our overall direction made for a fun and easy design process. Our visions aligned organically and it was by far the most photographed piece of artwork during the festival. Attendees loved the postcard concept showcasing that they were at Firefly, surrounded by the experiences that were so well represented within each of the letters. The mural became an iconic backdrop of the festival, and we were able to repurpose it in the following years in different locations around the grounds. I have worked across live events for over ten years, and my experience working with Victor and Lisa stands out as one of the best. They are truly experts at their craft and have an innate ability to bring positivity wherever they go – through both their personalities and their art.”
