Altadena Restaurant Mural for Fair Oaks Burger

I painted an exterior mural for the restaurant Fair Oaks Burger in Altadena, CA. This was a fun project and a departure from a lot of the recent work I’ve been doing. The concept was to create a larger than life burger that had hidden messages inside. The client wanted to bring back a popular quote from the previous mural that said: “Come for the food, stay for the friends!” In addition, I made sure to incorporate some hints of Mexican and Chinese food which was served at the restaurant.

This was a local family run restaurant and with a dedicated staff. I was happy to contribute back to the community and brighten up their drive thru wall. This particular surface was extremely textured, so spray paint was the best medium to create the artwork. I had a lot of fun creating the graphic design that incorporated all the fixings of a giant cheeseburger. Check out the process photos below.
