New Zealand
New Zealand is a small country where you could spend a lifetime exploring new places. It’s estimated to have 600 islands, but the mainland is categorized by the North Island and the South Island. The entire country proudly celebrates its native culture today which is very obvious everywhere you go. Aotearoa, the Maori name for New Zealand, directly translates to the Long White Cloud which came from a story of how the land was found.
The way to visit New Zealand on holiday is by campervan. We’re not saying that because we live in a RV full-time, it’s just the best way to go! Destinations are pretty spread out and there’s incredible camp spots with views you could only get by camping. There are several companies to choose from including Jucy which started over there, but we went with Wilderness.
We flew into Auckland where we picked up the campervan for 2 weeks. After driving all through the North and South Island, we flew from Christchurch back to Auckland where we spent another week at an Airbnb. From there, you can take trips to Piha and Coromandel.
